Region: The winery and the vineyards are located in a region in Bulgaria, which is most suitable for grape growing – Thracian Valley. It is famous for its millennial wine traditions. The climate conditions of the region provide a good opportunity for getting rich and deep wines.

Terroir: Temperate continental climate. The vineyards are located along Topolnitsa River.

Vine harvest: Our wines are made by 100% own grapes only from our vineyards. Grape clusters are hand - picked and all unripe or rotten berries are discarded

Vinification: Grapes are picked at optimum ripeness. Cold maceration for 7-10 days at 8C. Fermentation in still tanks for 7 days at 24-26C. Maceration for 3 to 4 weeks.

About the brand: Mavrud is indigenous grape unique to Bulgaria and the brand Ilaya is named after a legend from the First Bulgarian Empire era

Wine notes: The wine has intense ruby color, an aroma of red fruits, smooth and fruity taste and a long fresh finish
